community guidelines: keeping the community informative and kind

blushgarden is all about user generated content. we aim to provide a positive community for our users to generate, share and curate this content. to accomplish this, we ask that everyone follow these guidelines.

be respectful and open-minded

online communities thrive if they are full of people who want to be a part of them. showing respect and being open to new ideas will go a long way to making this community great.

be yourself

there isn't anyone who can do it better! but in this case we mean that your opinions, content and your account need to represent you alone and shouldn't be pretending to be someone else or impersonating someone else.

be honest

contributions should be unbiased and objective. fully disclose if you receive a product in exchange for a review. see reviews 101 for more information.

if you represent a company, be transparent about your affiliations and intentions. we welcome you to join the conversation, but please don't post commercial messages or promote yourself without context. we ask that persons associated with companies who make products featured here not to write product reviews.

if you are paid directly for reviews, do not post reviews on blushgarden. persons paid for reviews are paid promoters, and we only want to include consumer reviews.

be constructive

opinions don't have to be positive, but if they aren't please keep them constructive. don't post anything that's illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, abusive, deliberately misleading, or otherwise prohibited.

hate speech will not be tolerated. homophobia, racism, sexism, or any other form of hate speech or bigotry have no place on our site.

don't overshare

be mindful of what you share. don't include personal information (address, telephone number, etc) about yourself or anyone else.

zero spam policy

no spam. period. gratuitous self-promotion included. promote your blog, twitter, youtube, facebook, etc on your profile page, which others can easily get to by clicking on your name. there is no need to include these at the bottom of any post.

we'll usually give you a warning first, but failing to be a good member of our community may result in us terminating your account. we reserve the right to terminate your account without warning if we deem it necessary.

if you're a troll or a spammer, you know it, we know it, and you know that we know it, so it won't come as a shock when we cancel your account. if you've honestly made a mistake, and feel we've made an error in our assessment, contact us at and we'll try to straighten things out.

your use of blushgarden is subject to these guidelines, as well as our terms of service .
