at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.
without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.
as an example, one rating criteria for nail polish is formula thickness. formula thickness ranges from thin to thick. Thin might be a desired quality for you, while thick might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.
an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for formula thickness without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.
we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .
Chez Adrienne @ AdrienneAs always with the gel couture line, it’s nice to use the wide, curve-hugging brush. read the full review
The Polished PursuitThe brush is amazing, formulas are buttery smooth, and I actually think the bottles are super cool. read the full review
Thirteen Thoughts @ PaulaYour nails will probably won’t feel like they do when wearing “regular” gel polish (meaning they won’t feel as “hard”) but they will sure look it! read the full review
