at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.

without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.

as an example, one rating criteria for eyeshadows is pigmentation. pigmentation ranges from sheer to vibrant. Sheer might be a desired quality for you, while vibrant might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.

an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for pigmentation without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.

we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

not a review but perhaps helpful - here is a description from the source: What it is: A glitter gel inspired by Urban Decay's original formula from the early 2000s with vibrant, high-coverage, super-concentrated sparkle. What it does: This hyper-reflective glitter is suspended in a water-based, nonsticky gel that glides on easily with a brush or your finger. It's made to go only where you want it to go, and it dries down quickly, staying put for up to nine hours. How to use: Glitter isn't biodegradable, so when it comes to removal please do so responsibly. When removing, soak a cotton round with your favorite makeup remover. Press it to your eye area, wipe it off and throw it in the trash. This is the safest and most responsible way to keep glitter from entering the water system. After you've removed most traces of glitter, go ahead and wash your face guilt-free.
