at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.

without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.

as an example, one rating criteria for blush is glow. glow ranges from matte to frost. Matte might be a desired quality for you, while frost might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.

an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for glow without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.

we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

Why do I fall in love with limited edition products? Why am I still pining over a blush I bought in 2007? This is my all time favorite blush, on my pale skin it provides the perfect flush color. In signature Chanel style, it is just right: not to little and not too much color. It reads a little bubblegum pink in the pan, but it just looks awesome on my skin. I think I cried a little when I dropped this on the counter and opened it to find my precious broken into pieces. And when I ran out, I cried a little more, knowing I couldn't replace it. Au revoir, Chanel Narcisse, I shall miss you dearly.

not a review but perhaps helpful - here is a description from the source: This unique powder blush by CHANEL offers buildable coverage from natural to dramatic and imparts a flattering radiance to cheeks. Its remarkably silky texture ensures easy application of seamless color. When applied high on the cheekbones or near the eyes, it instantly lifts and softens the face for a more youthful look. How to use: Use the integrated brush to apply a highlighting touch of JOUES CONTRASTE to cheeks or accentuate the contours of the face.
