at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.

without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.

as an example, one rating criteria for nail polish is formula thickness. formula thickness ranges from thin to thick. Thin might be a desired quality for you, while thick might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.

an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for formula thickness without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.

we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

Chanel might not have invented the first taupe nail polish, but they certainly created an enduring classic with Particuliere. The shade is a neutral to slightly cool medium mink taupe. It applies beautifully and creates an easy sophisticated polished look. I really enjoy and recommend this nail color if you are looking for a classic nude nail polish!

not a review but perhaps helpful - here is a description from the source: What it is: An iconic nail polish reformulated for longer-lasting, high-shine color that cares. What it does: Enriched with bioceramics and ceramides, it provides deep care to strengthen and improve the quality of nails over time. Along with protective benefits, the formula features carefully selected pigments for an even application and a dramatic, lacquered look. LE VERNIS is available in a vibrant palette of trend-setting shades, including best-selling favorites and daring new colors. How to use: Apply a thin layer of primer. Then, using the built-in brush applicator, apply the first layer of LE VERNIS followed by a second coat as thick as the first. Finish with a top coat for an ultra-glossy result.
