at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.

without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.

as an example, one rating criteria for nail polish is formula thickness. formula thickness ranges from thin to thick. Thin might be a desired quality for you, while thick might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.

an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for formula thickness without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.

we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

Arigato from Tokyo is a medium purply pink creme Nail Lacquer released with the spring 2019 Tokyo Collection by OPI. It is also available in OPI’s Infinite Shine and their GelColor Pro formula. Follow OPI’s steps for a perfect manicure: Step 1. Start by applying an OPI Base Coat to clean, dry nails after pushing the cuticles back. Step 2. Apply a stroke of Arigato from Tokyo down the center of the nail, followed by a stroke along each side of each nail. Step 3. Then apply a second coat of polish, wrapping color over the tips of the nails to avoid shrinkage. Step 4. Seal and protect with a coat of an OPI Top Coat, also wrapping it over the tips of the nails. Step 5. To speed up the dry time of your manicure or pedicure, apply 2 drops of OPI’s DripDry, Lacquer Drying Drops to each nail.
