at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.

without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.

as an example, one rating criteria for hair styling products is hold. hold ranges from light to maximum. Light might be a desired quality for you, while maximum might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.

an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for hold without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.

we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

This is a really good sea salt spray. It can get crunchy if you spray too much in the same area, but the fine mist of the sprayer helps to disperse it throughout my hair. I have used it on wet towel-dryed hair that I scrunch, but I think this product really works well on fully dried hair that needs a bit of messiness and definition.

not a review but perhaps helpful - here is a description from the source: R+Co Rockaway Salt Spray, 4.2 oz. DetailsEveryone looks good at the beach. Well, at least their hair does. The sun, sand and wind add amazing amounts of volume to hair, leaving it rough and sexy. Rockaway is the closest you'll get to replicating that without ever stepping foot out of the concrete jungle. Good for: Looking like your hair just spent the day at the beach. How to: Spray Rockaway in the places where you want more volume and texture. Fragrance: Relative Paradise Benefit Ingredients.
