at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.

without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.

as an example, one rating criteria for highlighting & contouring is glow. glow ranges from matte to frost. Matte might be a desired quality for you, while frost might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.

an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for glow without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.

we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

not a review but perhaps helpful - here is a description from the source: What it is: A duet of shading and highlighting contour creams to contour and sculpt to bring out the optimal bone structure of your face architecture. What it does: Defines. Grooms. Shapes. This duet of highlighting and shading creams is designed to make sculpting and contouring the face remarkably simple. The super sheer, light shade can be used to draw light onto the skin and to brighten and lift the face. The dark shade defines and contours bones while staying invisible to the naked eye. How to use: Sweep one side of a shading and illuminating brush into the darker contour cream. Using the wide part of the brush, start near the ear and push the brush along the underside of your cheekbone, along the hairline at the temples and the underside of the jawline. Blend thoroughly until only a subtle shadow remains. To emphasize the high points of the face, use the other side of your brush to apply the highlighter shade onto the top of your cheekbones, the browbone and very lightly from the forehead down the center of the nose. Blend well. The effect should be subtle and elegant.
