at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.
without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.
as an example, one rating criteria for lipsticks is luster. luster ranges from matte to glossy. Matte might be a desired quality for you, while glossy might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.
an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for luster without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.
we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

A deep blue purple from the purple family, ultra modern matte lipstick that delivers single stroke intense full-coverage in a creamy, long lasting, comfortable, dramatic matte finish. Mattifying powders and silky conditioners wrap your lips in softness and comfort. The vivid, pigment-rich color doesn’t feel drying and resists cracking. A slim precision bullet allows the formula glides to hug your lips, defining and filling in one seamless stroke without the need for a liner. Convenient built-in sharpener customizes the tip for precision lining and detailed filling. This is Laura Mercier’s highest pigmented lipstick. How to Use: Starting at the outer edge of the lips, press bullet to lips and apply evenly over your entire lip area. Use the built-in sharpener to customize the tip shape. How to Shape the Bullet: Remove the colored endcap at the bottom, as this is the shaper. Twist up to reveal more lipstick. Hold the lipstick still and gently Twist the sharpener around the tip. Very gentle pressure is all that is needed. Twist the sharpener until the desired shape is achieved. Retract the extra product until only the amount needed appears above the edge.
