at blushgarden, we think differently about reading and writing beauty product reviews. we believe product reviews should provide you with detailed information, let the writer quickly and easily share their thoughts, and be a fun experience for all. to achieve this, we provide a ratings scale for distinct criteria, alongside traditional written comments. this format gives reviewers a way to provide an in-depth review of the same specific aspects of a product, allowing you zero in on the criteria that are most important to you.

without the need for long-form written text, everyone saves time. don’t let us discourage you from waxing poetic if you are so inclined, some people are gifted writers and should share if they want to. we just want to encourage and provide great reviews without that particular barrier to entry.

as an example, one rating criteria for lipgloss is stickiness. stickiness ranges from very sticky to not sticky. Very sticky might be a desired quality for you, while not sticky might be desired for someone else. there isn’t a right answer, only your opinion.

an added benefit to the scales is quickly seeing how a product might perform. you can identify that a product is rated highly for stickiness without reading a lot of text. easily compare and evaluate similar products based on identical criteria. apples to apples, if you will.

we would honestly love to hear your feedback, if you have an idea for a new rating criteria, let us know! post in the feedback forum, or send us an email to .

Bitten Babe, a cool midtone rose, is one of 14 Versicolour Varnish Cream Lip Stains, a hybrid lip colour with intense staining power. MAC’s new lipgloss + lip stain features a creamy watery-light formula that glides on to impart long-wearing, saturated, full coverage color in a glossy wet finish. How to Apply: Glide directly to lips with built-in doe foot applicator. For best color definition, use with a lip pencil. Note: MAC doesn’t recommend for use on overly dry or sensitive lips. As with many lip stains, your lips might feel slightly dry over time. If desired, prepare lips with a lightweight lip balm or MAC’s Prep + Prime Lip.
